don't worry Chel...I don't mind...here you go!!!!
***** “Mands!!!” Chris shrieked when she saw her best friend emerging from the arrival gate, pushing her trolley which was laden with heavy bags.
“Chris!” Mands quickened her pace and went over to Chris to give her a big hug. “I’ve missed you!”
“Wow! You look…radiant,” Chris remarked, giving Mands the once-over. “You’ve gained weight…your hair seems different…your skin is much tanner now!” she gushed again.
Mandy chuckled. “You’re the still same old you, Chris. So how’re you holding up without me?”
“Oh…Mands,” she began dramatically, putting her hand on her forehead, “I’ve been through hell and back without you,”
“Yeah right,” Mands giggled.
“Hey Chris!” It was Kian.
”Hey Ki! Nice hairdo!” Chris replied, messing up his hair. “Hi Jodi!”
“Hey Chris,” Jodi smiled.
Kian swiped away her hand. “Hey!” he hollered, rearranging his hair back to its original style.
“Nice to see you Chris,” Shane and Gill chorused.
Chris laughed. “You both creep me out sometimes,”
“Hey Chris!”
“Mark!!” she replied, hugging her friend tightly. “I’ve missed you and your cooking loads,” she answered.
Mark gave her a low chuckle. “Hmm…miss me or my cooking more?”
“You. Your cooking. Both!” Chris giggled, unable to make up her mind.
“Oh great. Hugs all around,” Kian replied sarcastically.
“Oops.” Chris said, turning to Kian. “I’ve missed you too, Ki.” She hugged him tightly.
“That’s much better,” he muttered under his breath. Jodi just smiled and shook her head at her boyfriend’s antics.
“Hey! Are we here to waste time, or what?” Mands asked suddenly, tapping her foot. “I want to go home!” she whined, much to the surprise of the others.
“Okay, okay. Once home you can get all the sleep you want,” Shane remarked before they continued walking out of the airport.
Eight
“Yeah…yeah…okay. Fine. Thank you. Yeah, I’ll get back to you later,” Kian said into his phone and hung up. He sighed. “Goodness, planning a wedding is hard work,” he muttered under his breath.
“Excuse me?” Mandy asked, her eyes not leaving her book. “Did I hear you say something to me, Ki?”
“Uh? Oh…no, nothing, Mands. I was just…talking to myself,”
“Hmmph.” Mands did not feel satisfied. “Hey, did you guys see Mark around today? He seemed to have disappeared or something,”
“I saw him slip out from the house a while ago,” Shane remarked, turning away from the television set to look at Mands. “Why?”
“Oh, nothing. Just curious.”
“So….Mands,” Kian cleared his throat. “How’s everything going?”
“Everything?”
“Mark…yourself…”
“Oh. I dunno, Ki. It’s just a mess,” Mandy sighed. “I felt so guilty and all…and I didn’t realise it would stretch this long,” Mandy said, noticing that it had been about 4 months since the incident on the beach happened.
“I don’t know about you, Mands, but I know that that guy is serious about you,” Kian explained, placing his pencil on his ear. “He seemed pretty…well, in love,” he shrugged when Mands gave him a weird look. “Trust me. I know when a guy’s in love,”
Mandy did not say anything; she just laid her head on the table. Well…I’m gonna do what it takes to make this right again. Even if I have to do something I didn’t think I’m capable of doing.

MORE! ;D ***** “But…I don’t know if this would work Shane,” Mark sighed, running his hands through his hair.
“Trust me, Mark. Get a little mushy with her. You’ll eventually get what you want…or not.” Shane grinned, sitting down beside him.
“You really think having a fake girlfriend would make Mands jealous?” Mark asked apprehensively.
“That’s the only way to know whether she has feelings for you or not,” Shane replied, his patience thinning. God, talking to this man is like asking a dog to meow!
“Are you sure?”
“Trust me. I’ll get one of Gillian’s friends for you. Extra pretty. Nice back. And front,” he said, cupping his chest. Mark suppressed a chuckle.
“If you say so, Shane. If this doesn’t go as planned, I’ll go after you,”
“You have my word,” Shane smiled. He will do anything, absolutely anything to get Mark to be his brother-in-law. Or at least something close.
***** “Mark, this is Kate. Kate, Mark,” Shane introduced Mark to his new ‘girlfriend’.
“Nice to meet you,” Mark greeted Kate and looked at Shane with his eyebrow raised.
“So you’re my fake boyfriend,” Kate replied gleefully. Shane shrugged behind her back.
“Yeah. Do you mind?”
“No…of course not. I’d love to act alongside you,” Kate said. “So who’s gonna get jealous?” she asked, pointing to a group portrait of them all.
Shane pointed at Mandy’s smiling figure. “My lil’ sister,” he smirked. Kate looked at Mark and nodded coolly.
“Wise choice Mark. She looks pretty,” Kate replied, scrutinizing Mandy. “Who’s this? Never seen him before,”
“Her husband. Ex-husband,” Mark replied quickly when Kate gave him a curious look. “He passed away months ago, in a car crash,”
“Oh.” Kate felt pity for Mandy. “…so when did you come into the equation…?” she looked back at Mark.
“Long story.” Mark replied curtly.
“I’ve got lots of time,” Kate beamed, showing off her straight teeth.
Nine
“Mark?” Mands knocked on his open door. Mark was facing the computer with his back to her.
“Mands?” Mark felt a bit uncomfortable. “Come on in.”
“Are you ok?”
“I’m fine…what do you mean?” he asked her back.
“I mean…about the incident months ago…”
“Look, Mands, it was all my fault, I’m sorry,”
“I shouldn’t have…”
“What? You shouldn’t have been there so that I wouldn’t have the chance to kiss you? You shouldn’t have existed so that I wouldn’t know you and then fall for you?” he huffed, feeling a bit irritated. When he saw Mandy’s face contorted, he sighed and quickly apologised.
“That’s alright. I guess we’re even now.” She replied. “Tough day?”
“I just…” he searched for an excuse. “I just had a big fight with my girlfriend, that’s all,” he continued, searching her face for answers.
Mandy looked at Mark in surprise. “Girlfriend? You didn’t mention it to me before,”
“Didn’t have the chance to.” Mark replied curtly.
“All of them knew about it?” Mark nodded. “Oh.” She answered back. Jealousy coursed through her. Why the heck am I feeling disappointed…even jealous? I’m not supposed to! I’m supposed to be happy for him! “Congrats. I didn’t realise,” Mandy bit back her bottom lip, not wanting to show her lips were trembling. “So what’s her name?” she asked after a moment’s silence.
“Kate.” Mark replied. Right on cue, his phone rang. He looked at the screen and it said: Kate. “Excuse me.” He gestured to Mands. “What now?” he answered in a very angry manner, hoping that Kate would get the point. “I’m busy at the moment…no! I’m not seeing someone else! I thought you’d understand, Kate,” he huffed into his phone, glad that Kate understood his performance. “Fine. Whatever.” He pushed the red button.
“Umm…I think I’d better go and prepare dinner…” Mands answered timidly while walking to the door. She looked back at Mark who was looking wistfully at her. “Cool down Mark. Fighting will get you nowhere,” she advised and went down the stairs.
“Hmmph. She contradicts herself,” Mark mumbled. He sat in silence for a while before sending a text message to Kate: ‘Hey, Kate, I’m sorry cuz Mands was here. She kinda irritated me but I told her you were the prob. Sorry. Mark. Xx’
After a few seconds, he received one from Kate: ‘Phew. Tot it was real. I was scared for a mo. No prob. Did she get jealous? Hope she did. Well, gtg. See u ‘round sometime. K. x’
Mark looked at his phone screen. Jealous? He thought to himself. Far from it. She was even congratulating him, for goodness’ sakes! Mark sighed. “I guess I have to prepare killing Shane, after all,” he mumbled to himself and continued doing his work.

ha...you might never know Chel! here you go!! During dinner, all of them ate in companionable silence. Kian’s phone suddenly broke the silence. “Uh…hello?” he answered, pushing back his chair. The person on the other end greeted him. “Oh,” he covered the mouthpiece and stood up. “Excuse me,” he said and ran into the kitchen. Jodi looked on curiously. “He’s been like that for months now,” she frowned. “Did he mention anything about his phone calls?” “The last he told me was that it was a business proposition,” Mark answered, reaching for a piece of chicken. Shane swallowed his food quickly. “Speaking of business, we’re to meet Louis tomorrow, I forgot to tell you that,” Mark gave a groan and continued eating. “You all will still continue with this Westlife thing?” Mandy asked, fighting with Mark for another piece of chicken. “Yeah…I guesso. Or maybe not…Since Nicky die-…” Shane trailed off, cursing himself. He saw Mandy’s facial expression change for a moment to obvious sadness. “I’m so sorry Mands…I forgot…” Shane whispered, reaching over to take her hand. “That’s all right…it’s been months, going to a year. I don’t think it’s wrong to mention him once in a while,” she said looking around at the worried faces. Shane let go of his pent-up breath and resumed eating. Kian came back smiling. “Who was that, honey?” Jodi asked. Kian looked at her. “Oh. It’s Louis. He said there’s a meeting tomorrow, I guess he didn’t want us to forget or anything,” he shrugged. Jodi was content with the answer, but she still felt curious about all those phone calls that he had been getting. Is he having an affair? She rubbed the thought away from her head. Impossible. But who says nothing is impossible? Jodi sighed a loud sigh that jolted almost everyone, except Mandy, whose thoughts were still obviously with Nicky. “Why the sigh?” Shane asked. “Nothing. I’m just tired.” Jodi pushed her plate away. “I’m sorry guys, I suddenly feel a bit dizzy. Mind if I lie down?” “No, no problem at all,” Shane looked on worriedly. Gillian protested when Jodi took her plate to be washed. “Let us do it for you, you go right up and get some rest,” she said. Kian touched Jodi’s hand. “Are you okay?” he whispered, standing up as well. Jodi gave a curt nod and walked up into the bedroom. And shut the door with a resounded bang. “Uh oh,” Kian mumbled and sat back down with a weary look etched on his face. “What happened there?” Mandy jerked up from her contemplation. “I’ve…a secret to tell,” Kian sighed, looking around nervously. “Swear to me you all won’t tell her,” All of them nodded solemnly. “That call…wasn’t from Louis.” “I knew it!” Shane shouted in triumph. “Was it from another woman?” Kian took some time before nodding his head, blushing. Gillian let out a big gasp. “Couz! How could you?” “How could I what?” Kian asked innocently. “Have an affair with another woman? Isn’t Jodi alright for you?” Gillian probed her cousin. Shane snorted, obviously not happy with Kian’s reaction. Mark and Mandy just looked at each other apprehensively. Kian grinned after some time. “Oh yeah. I’ve been having this affair for quite some time now…”

here's more!!!
Ten
“The cheek of you to say it like that!” Gillian raged, cutting him off. “And to grin!”
“…it’s been hard to keep the relationship because we keep arguing over every single thing,” Kian sighed.
“That’s great to hear,” Mark mumbled, poking his green peas with his fork. Mandy smacked him to keep him quiet. “The thing is, we keep having this argument…she recommended a grand one, but I want a subdued one. We even argue over the wedding garments,” Kian sighed again, cursed. “I tell you, this is the last time I’m hiring a wedding planner for my wedding,” he huffed, then continued eating his steak. Shane looked over to Gillian who had an eyebrow raised.
“WEDDING PLANNER?!” Mark, Mandy, Shane and Gillian chorused together.
***** “What do you mean by wedding planner?” Mark trailed Kian into the study room after dinner. Kian turned around, looking at his friend in silence. “Are you deaf or haven’t I made myself clear?” he raised his eyebrow.
“Fine. So what are you doing with the wedding planner?” Mark sighed, settling down into the comfy sofa.
Kian sat beside his friend almost immediately. “I’m planning a surprise wedding for Jodi,” he said easily. “Shh!!” he added when he saw Mark open his mouth to exclaim.
Mark closed his mouth and then started talking again. “Surprise wedding?” he whispered.
“Yep. I want to propose to her this weekend. But the thing is, I just want my side to be planned, and then let Jodi decide on her wedding dress and the cake and all those… fancy woman stuff,” Kian whispered back.
“Oh…that’s so cool!” Mark fidgeted like a boy, his voice louder now.
“Ah…yes. But do you think she’ll accept me?” Kian asked back.
Mark took a while to answer him. “Uh…of course, Ki. She loves you…she’s been tolerating you all this while right?” Mark grinned, recalling Kian’s obvious volatile temper. Kian smacked his friend on the shoulder.
And then Kian realised. “What the hell are we whispering for?!” he exclaimed. Mark just shrugged and grinned back at his friend.
“If you need help…with all those wedding stuff, don’t hesitate to ask for my opinion alright,” Mark stood.
Kian nodded. “Maybe I’ll let you decide on the music,”
“Ahh…thanks. Well, I gotta go now.”
“Where?” Kian asked, curious.
“Date.” He grinned and thrust his hands into his jean pockets. “I’m going to make Mands as jealous as hell!”
“Good luck on that, then,” Kian waved his hand at his friend’s disappearing figure.
Eleven
“Kate…this is Mands. Mands, Kate,” Mark introduced the two women to each other. Mandy eyed Kate critically. Hmmph…she’s busty, no wonder, Mandy thought silently to herself. Another surge of pure jealousy coursed through her.
“Hello Mands. I’ve heard a lot about you!” Kate extended her hand. Mandy took the smooth, manicured hand in her un-manicured, half-bitten nailed hand.
“Ah…it’s all good, I hope,” she replied hesitantly after a while.
“Let’s just say…he sings praises for you,” Kate smiled, flashing her perfect teeth.
“Kate,” Mark said, sliding his arm across her waist, “Let’s go meet the others,” he led her away from Mandy. He caught Mandy staring at his arm which was nestled perfectly on Kate’s waist.
“Ooh…so that’s her,” Kate remarked when she entered the kitchen. The others eyed her curiously.
“So how do you find her?” Shane asked. “Nice top you have on,” he smirked. Kate’s top actually enhances her already big bust.
Gillian smacked her husband’s arm. Kate grinned. “She’s not bad actually. Watched me with a wary eye. I can tell you that that woman is a hundred percent jealous of me.”
“Really?” Kian thingyed an eyebrow. Mark just looked on, uninterested.
Kate smirked and nodded eagerly. “She had that look in her eye as if to say, you lay your hands on him and you die,” she slit her throat with her finger.
Shane rubbed his chest in relief. “Oh thank God for making her jealous. That is the best news that I’ve ever heard in my life,”
Kate continued, “But she seemed uncertain when she saw Mark’s arm across my waist. It’s like she’s trying to believe that Mark is just putting up an act but her heart kept telling her that Mark isn’t lying.”
“Where did you get her, Gill? In the fortune teller shop?” Mark snorted, then laughed. “To me, Mands doesn’t seem affected with me having a girlfriend,” he shrugged, then sighed.
“Be patient, Mark. She will burst out from jealousy someday or another.” Kate reassured him, patting his hand.
“Yeah. Whenever that will be,” Mark mumbled under his breath, messing up his hair.
*****
“Jodi…” Kian cleared his throat and readjusted his tie. He looked at Jodi who trained her eyes to look in front at the unoccupied pier that they went to. Kian took her hand in his and caressed it. He felt the insistent tug of her hand before he let it go.
“Are you still angry with me?” he asked, his fingers on her chin, letting her eyes look into his.
Jodi bit back a sigh when she stared deep into those ocean blue eyes of his. Kian’s eyes searched her face for answers.
“Yes,” she finally whispered after some time. Kian opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but he decided to look down instead.
“Look…Jodi, I know I’ve not been truthful about some things these past few months…I’m really sorry if I’ve hurt your feelings,”
Jodi decided to cut his speech short. “Are you having an affair?”
Kian almost spluttered out his words. “Am I what?!”
“Having an affair,” she huffed, crossing her arms.
“I am…NOT having an affair!” Kian almost wanted to yell in her face. “Oh god, Jods, I love you…I don’t even want to leave you!”
“Then who’s that woman you talked about to the rest during dinner that time?”
“What woman?” Kian felt genuinely confused.
“That…that woman you wanted to marry…fancy talking about weddings and such. Don’t think I’m a fool, Egan. I’ve got ears and I’m very capable of listening in to your conversations!” Jodi rattled, standing up so quickly she almost dropped her purse which she had nestled comfortably in her lap just before.
“Oh….that woman,” Kian smirked and stood up, facing Jodi.
Jodi stared at the lone boat out in the pier. If only she could jump into it and take off from here, leaving Kian alone.
“That woman…she was…my wedding planner,” Kian told her slowly.
Jodi turned around slowly and looked at Kian hard in the eye. “Wedding planner? I don’t understand.”
“This, I think you’d understand,” Kian said, and fished out a dark blue velvet ring box. And got down to one knee. “I love you Jodi, marry me.”
