Westlife scrap video after US terrorist attacks 9/25/01 Westlife have been forced to scrap their new £1million video after the terror attacks in the US. The footage, which shows the boys taking part in a stock car race, features violent explosions and showers of debris. One scene has Bryan caught up in a dramatic crash. His car slams straight into Kian's and Nicky abandons his race to save Bryan from the burning motor. The video, filmed in London earlier this month, was to accompany the group's new single Queen Of My Heart, which will be released on November 5th. Kian said backstage at the Disney Channel Kids' Awards in London yesterday, "There is no way we could show that video now, in light of what happened in America. So we decided to scrap it and have now gone back to the drawing board to try to think of another idea. We hope to start shooting the new video next week." www.west.loife.com

Up until the WOOO album their vids still involved a lot more drama and action. More than the usual putting-the-lads-against-a-styled-backdrop-plus-footage-of-other-people-doing-the- acting thing that they've done for "You Raise Me Up," "The Rose," and now in "Back Home". Its become a bit formulaic. The vids for "Mandy" and "Amazing" where they employed the use of vacant buildings are better since they focus exclusively on the lads. I do hope they come up with more interesting vids for their upcoming releases.

This is the first time I've read about having two vids. That's fascinating, really hope we can see that one.
