first time i heard about them was when ronan mentioned that he was managing the band and i became a follower ever since it's nice to track their progress from 1998 (when they were still quite unknown ) to now

first time was when i've seen ''seasons in the sun"... although i didnt care much and was just deciding on who was the best looking of them (talk about being shallow!) i was then choosing between mark and shane... in the end, i picked shane! *sorry, marky... hehe* some time later, while my bestfriend and i were watching vid-ok (favourite, eh?), she introduced me to "fool again" and yakked about how her cousin swooned at Mark... i remember just staring at the video for the whole time it played! from that point onwards, i only had eyes for mr. feehily... and come to think of it... it's been seven happy years! ;D PS. i wasnt into music when i was younger. when i was still a gradeschooler, i even thought swear it again was sung by 98degrees... yikes!

I saw that Smash Hits! issue when Ronan was introducing them to the UK (I collected SH! before) about 1998 and I already thought they were very promising. I got my eyes on Mark then too. Haha! When their fame reached the Philippines, my parents even informed us when they read a newspaper clipping with Westlife having their first concert here. I was so ecstatic then! I haven't missed a single concert after that.

The first time I've been hooked to them 'well just kinda' was on the radio and swear it again was playing... twas kinda funny cos I was writing an essay that time and the essay sounded like a fanmail at the end. I still keep it. The first vid that i saw in the telly was If I Let You Go. Weird cos I think Bryan looked really good on that vid hehe. I gave my BSB VHS tape that was given by a friend in exchanged for their Asian EP to my classmate. Bought their first album, I think Dec '99. When I heard that they are coming here I was really ecstatic, that I kept on jumping while screaming. I was with my three bestfriends that time, who were clueless why am i jumping and screaming my lungs off. I fell in love with Mark when I first heard the song ' Let's Make Tonight Special'.

Oh yeah why it took me quite a long time to buy the album?hehe. I can't afford it that time so my childhood friends who are into them back then decided that we should do some caroling cos they want to buy that album aswell. It paid off. hehe

meficus: mine still looks good as new, though the taiwan version postcards have photos on it, and in the back, it's like actual postcards where you could write on and send to your mates or whatnot. karenkristie: i collected smash hits & other uk mags before but only if their cover was boyzone or a member of them but when i started to like Wl, i collected their covers too if i had the money My mum was real patient enough to wrap them in plastic book covers too Watched all concerts too, was lucky enough that i was in the first 5 rows for all 3

First time I heard of westlife was....when I was 11 and that was in 2001. Can you believe it?! My mum brought me to the CD store (going to get my first ever CD, pretty late, i know) cuz I scored really well for my exams. So when we were in the store, I was browsing through when suddenly my eyes fell upon a blue-red-white colour themed CD, with 5 guys on it looking directly into the camera (into my eyes, lol) and I took it off from the rack. It says, "Westlife" (duh) and I was thinking, 'hell, if they don't sound good, I'll just keep it somewhere where I can see 'em cuz they look pretty great.'
Well...that was last time, lol. They sound and look great. sigh.

that's true. I lost the original copy of WOOO now, but I've replaced it with another one (they come with postcards so weheeyy...) and well, my perception of them haven't changed since. They are the most versatile singers I've ever heard for a pretty long time...
