The first time i heard of westlife was around the last parts of my 6th grade. That was 1999. I never really gave them much thought because I never cared about music then. It was the time when pop was big and I'm not so fond of it. Anyways, the first video of westlife that i've really watched was fool again (yep, quite late..) and that's when i started liking Nicky. the first westlife merchandise i have bought was the C2C cassette tape. i didn't really listen much until a few months later. Later on, we decided to buy the WL cd then the 2vcds. When the special edition for c2c came out, we bought it. After that we waited for all the new releases and became more avid fans..

i first became aware of their existence (!) in nov99...
all i can remember is that i really liked swear it again... so my classmates decided to give me a casette tape of their first album for our christmas exchange gift...
at first i really didn't like the idea of having an album of just one artist because i used to "collect" albums with various artists (like now and max)... but i gave it a chance, of course...
so i listened to the album and then... you what happened... i liked the album and became their fan since then... and a lot of my friends know that i'm still a huge fan... ;D

I can't exactly remember the first time I heard Swear it Again (first and only song released in the US). I know it was well played on the radio station I listened to during college. It was my freshmen year and my dad came to pick me up for the semester. I lived 6 hours away. About a week before I was going home, I ordered the first album online, but had it shipped to my house because I didn't know how long it would take and I didn't want the college to have to forward it. Anyway- my dad brought the CD up so I could listen to it on the way home ...it came really quick! I put it in as soon as we got in the car and listened to it the entire way home! I couldn't get enough.

ya... americans do like a very different kind of music... like hip hop...and since westlife's music is pop they didn't succeed there..
anyways..
i first became aware of westlife when i graduated from grade school... i also watched them at the vid-ok araw gabi sing along party. then my sister started liking them..so i did too. i wasn't this fanatic that time i just liked some of their songs and din't really surfed much. then i saw the WMAM vid then i fell in love w/ kian so i started mastering everything bout this amazing band!! woohhoo.
i'm not that good at story telling sorry!!

the first time i heard about WESTLIFE... i was at my mate's place (i was in my 5th grade, 1999)... i saw swear it again... and i instantly fell in love with nicky... (actually, to all of them) hehe... i miss those days when they were still VERY VERY popular in here... you could watched them anywhere... on SBN 21 (for their karaoke)... NET 25, mtv, myx (for their videos)... you could hear their songs on any radio stations (and they actually always on top)... i remember when they were the no. 1 for the year-ender countdown on WRR 101.9... i really miss that time...
