EXCLUSIVE WESTLIFE STAR WANTS HIS TWIN BOYS ON STAGE
WESTLIFE'S Nicky Byrne told yesterday he dreams of the day his twin sons can join him on stage for a singalong.
The singer, 29, rubbished rumours of a split next year and confessed he is already planning six-month-old Rocco and Jay's concert debut.
He revealed: "Having twins has been the most amazing thing in the world. I can't wait to see what the future brings with them and I'm really glad Georgina and I became parents when I was in the band.
"I want them to grow up and come and see what I do in West-life and come on the stage.
"It was pretty tough when they were first born because we were performing loads of shows at the Point and they came prematurely. They were in hospital for four or five weeks so Georgina and I had to get to grips with our new responsibilities very quickly.
"I understand now what every parent is going through with the whole sleep depravation thing but it's worth every second.
"To look at these beautiful little faces looking at you is incredible. When I come in from work now you see them sitting up and recognising you and it's amazing."
Nicky said he and the Westlife lads - Shane Filan, Mark Feehily and Kian Egan - are set for a fantastic year and he's convinced pop is making a major comeback.
He added: "If you look at the music scene it's been all very R&B lately.
"But there is still a huge market for pop music. We've seen the likes of the Spice Girls and Take That mount massive comebacks.
"We're going to be around for a long time to come and the fans are hungry for more."
