DELTA Goodrem is furious at lover Brian McFadden for snooping on her personal e-mails.
McFadden felt Delta's wrath when told he had replied to a message sent to her personal web address.
The message -- from a respected music industry figure with mother-manager Lea Goodrem's blessing -- begged Goodrem, 21, to make difficult decisions about her life and career.
But former boy band star McFadden, 26, intercepted the email and confronted, in writing, its author.
Goodrem told Lea she didn't see the email, then flew into a rage when McFadden's reply was revealed in last week's Sunday Herald Sun.
McFadden's reply stated: "Delta and I share this email address.
"To say I'm shocked at what I read in your email would be an understatement. Delta's business is absolutely none of yours."
Lea Goodrem confirmed yesterday that Delta had challenged McFadden over the email. But she would make no further comment.
However, Lea is reportedly unhappy with McFadden and believes the former Westlife singer has stalled her daughter's career.
In the email sent to Delta on April 9 -- and meant for her eyes only -- the singer was told to consider carefully "decisions that will affect you for the rest of your career".
It also asked why she snubbed management offers by proven US-based starmakers Irving Azoff and Tommy Mottola. Azoff manages The Eagles and Christina Aguilera. Mottola found Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.
And it questioned McFadden's dedication to Delta's career: "Is Brian willing to support your career by letting you make the right decisions for you and not necessarily for him?"
McFadden responded less than an hour after it hit Delta's inbox.
"Delta is an intelligent talented woman who is making discissions (sic) by herself," he wrote.
McFadden wants Delta to sign to his management group, but her supporters have pointed out his lack of hits and fading profile.
Industry heavyweights agree with Lea's verdict on McFadden. Goodrem has had talks with Mottola and this month met Azoff.
But the pop star has put her US ambitions on hold
