As many of you know, Westlife have played a huge part in SIRF’s success to date. Since our formation last year, they have stood by us supporting our every move. They first presented us with a platinum award disc which was auctioned on eBay for over €1000. SIRF then hit the headlines when Kian Egan and his gorgeous girlfriend Jodi Albert jumped from 13,000 feet in a charity skydive to raise awareness for the cause. Mark, Shane and Nicky all sponsored the day bringing vital funds to SIRF
which helped to build the first Kindergarten.
Some unsuspecting women got the fright of their lives when Kian was auctioned off at SIRF’s “Man Auction” last August and a lot more women were kicking themselves for missing the occasion.
Kian has also spoke on SIRF’s behalf on many occasions never hesitating to take a radio or newspaper interview. They have also been there on many occasions to offer their advice and help to SIRF when ever needed. It is safe to say that SIRF would not be where it is today without their help and support.
This time around the lads have offered SIRF a full-colour advert in the upcoming Westlife tour guide that kicks off in the UK very soon. This will surely bring much-needed publicity to the cause and help to spread the word of SIRF’s work in Indonesia.
SIRF would like to thank the Westlife fans
Much of SIRF’s fundraising and efforts have been located in the village of Strandhill, Ireland. A tribute must go out to the Westlife fans, who were behind us right from the very beginning. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their support, kind words and interest in our work. Westlife fansites being run by people like Vicky in the Netherlands and Pamela in the UK have spread the word to so many people around the world and they are the one of the reasons why SIRF is now becoming known in farther places than we could have ever imagined.
I hope that you will continue to support us and maybe even download a “SIRF Pack”. In time who knows - we may have a Kindergarten in Indonesia called the “Westlife kindergarten”...
