I went for a coffee with the Westlife boys this week and chatted about their future. Unlike some bands these days, none of the lads have plans for any solo projects on the side. Shane Filan told me: "It just doesn't appeal to us. We are happy the way we are. We enjoy making our music, touring and performing. There are four of us in the band and nobody has any plans to go out alone." And the lads, with me above, are not fazed by their Albums Chart position - with Gravity coming in at number three in its first week behind the JLS and Take That. Kian Egan says: "It was always going to be a huge week for the boybands. We never worried about not getting a number one. We sell an awful lot of records and we tour, we're happy. "We won't be doing this when we're 60 years old but for now we're happy in all areas of our career in Westlife." The lads' new tour DVD What About Now Live from the O2 is out now. It's my secret guilty pleasure... Source : By Dean Piper www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/columnists/dean-piper/2010/12/26/westlife-boys-shun-single-life-115875-22808254/
