Karaoke No More The Real Story of the Beginnings of Westlife It's a book written by one of IOYOU's old managers Pedraig Meehan. I got it from an aunt in London and just though it'd share what i've read (so far). Basically, the book deals with the story of the lads (except nic and bri but of the other three who have been removed before westlife) towards the middle part you'd start feeling how bitter the writer is and there are some surprising statements that may seem like a different version from what the lads often say. there was this thing about kian and his guitar. Kian said he's been playing all his life while the author said kian was 17 and only knew how to play 7 chords.. Shane appeared to be quite evil and back fighting too, which i found quite entertaining. i love seeing the lads a bit bad hehe.. i'll tell ya more later. i gotta go. book is quite boring apart from the fact that wl's in it

real for the bitter people behind the success of IOYOU i guess.. they've invested a lot and have every right to feel that bad about shane, ki and mark.. that's in my opinion tho

not really never before seen as most of them have already been posted in the internet
here's what the the author said was the REAL story
They were managing IOYOU and they were already on the verge of a big big big sligo break.. they wanted the 6 original lads to sign the contract but then.. the filans (mom and dad) kept questioning the conditions like the parting of money, legal bases, etc etc. they insists on looking for their own accountants and legal advice. so they didn't sign the contract yet.. (well.. Mark's dad was thinking twice aswell but the filans were greatly reiterated....)
then, shane's mum met louis walsh and got him to meet Shane who at that time was with ki in his sister's party in dublin. Shane, (from what i see) got a bit scared when louis said 6 was prolly too much. i dunno why but he didn't mention it to the rest of the band till simon cowell went into the picture..
the auditions came and Brian was simon's choice (or louis i think...) but kian wanted Nicky. Ki, being a louis favorite got what he wanted and the last of the old members were kicked out..
now, this pedraig meehan together with women named averyl and mary respectively sued the 3 lads when they were already in wl prolly asking for money for all the efforts they've exerted managing them before. the thing is no contract was signed (as shane refused ayt?) and shane testified so the lost..

i don't think ki can only play 7 chords when he was 17... he is a great musician...

lol.. it's actually believable as some people do learn about talents late in their lives and 17 isn't that late! nevertheless, i still look at him and see the same good musician i saw before

not actually that evil but love the shnicky bit by the end.. nic was staying at michael's but that morning he was hurrying in coz he slept at some other lad's house. the author didn't mention whom but i'd want to believe he was at shane's anywaym shaney was as nervous as the three other lads that were eliminated. simon wanted him out of the group (that's why he dyed his hair blond remember?) the only lads with a sure spot were ki and mark and of course shane wants a slot himself as his mom contacted louis walsh!
