It's quite a touching story.. Anyway, the Americans actually know who Westlife are, just that they aren't that into them as we do. Coz I have a friend in USA and he told me that.

i think it's because of their style... mmm... and maybe because they don't dance a lot like bsb and nsync... hehe... ;D
per wikipedia, westlife is classified as a one-hit wonder in the us (having one top 40 single which is swear it again)... at least, they made an impact even if it's not really big...

Yeah. It's the culture and all I guess. We all have our different tastes in music.
Maybe if they released more singles in the US they would have been more popular?

What about BBmak then? They've been popular in US and they don't really dance. N'SYNC and BSB got popular in Europe first.
I guess It's just a case of poor publicity and advertising. Americans, some of them knows Westlife, that I agree, they just know them by name, they don't know anything besides that. I got a friend who has more Westlife singles than any of us here I guess, He's got the dvd's too. He's into Westlife, his friends too. How did he get into that Westlife World, it's the price sticker, got curious cos the pirce is double than most of the cd's in the rack. He thought that it must be really good for it to cost like that. He's not just a typical listener, we consider him as a music guru cos he listens to all genres of music.
Oh yeah, his mom's a fan of them too. Mark fan LOL.
