now let me start first: China is a big country,it covers a big area and has a large population.we speak Chinese but most of the teenages are learning English as a second language.
i think u all know that Chinese food are very delicious(personally i think all asian foods are better than others)
and...well we have lots of fans of westlife in China.and a lot of male fans like me.lol
i'm now studying in a university in Beijing so if u have a chance to come to Beijjing,i'll be glad to show u around. and the Great Wall is really worth visiting!

well, unlike china, the philippines is an archipelago (means it's composed of little islands.. 7,107 to be exact) most of our income comes from agriculture. hmm what else.. Filipinos speak the best english . not many people are fluent but most people who go to school understands it. Filipinos love chines food btw. There's tons and tons of Chinese restaurants here. Also, there's a big Chinese community here too. I have lots of chinese classmates who speak Filipino more fluently than Chinese.. There used to be lots of Westlife fans here but since they've taken us a lot for granted many people forgot about them. Also, local alternative music has hit us like a big wave. all that plays here are the local artist (which is good) but the westlife fans are just slowly disappearing.. I study in the University of Santo Tomas which is one of the oldest universities in asia. I'm taking up pharmacy. i'm a junior but nope.. never wanted to be a pharmacist. people just kind of talked me into it. I'm now starting to fix my requirements for med school

the Philippines as of what i've observed is under a very very bad political and economic crisis. most of our professionals have left the country to search for better lives abroad. despite all these we Filipinos are still struggling to survive and go flow with the fast paced world!! see?? we are still trying... ahaaha.... as shayne said earlier on... most filipinos have forgotten all about westlife. the worst thing bout this is that most of the people here laugh when they find out that ur a fan of a boyband!! maybe bec. the people here would always want to imitate the americans... bitter eh?? ahaha so like shayne i'm currently studying at the University of sto thomas. i am taking up architecture.. see i love to draw when i'm not lazy. i am also hoping to have a career abroad, preferably UK as an architect since more oppurtunities are available there! and especially bec. of westlife! ;D

Singapore - an island so small it doesn't even appear on the world map.
English's our first language and our second language is whatever our mother tongue is. Life's so fast paced you wouldn't even believe it. We don't even have time for a breather which is no wonder why we're facing an ageing population.
Westlife fans are rare here but I think that's because most of them are closeted and are ashamed that they like boybands.

I think it's not about being close minded. I suppose it's because when boybands are mentioned, people think of untalented pre-puberty teens trying to sing bubblegum pop songs. Plus, boybands never last for long and most of them have only one #1 or if their lucky, two or three.
There are exceptions, however. Westlife is a fine example.

yeah... it's like if you're a boyband music lover, you're an inferior life form... like it makes you less of an intellectual... what's wrong with them?

westlife has lasted longer than any other boyband. but they aren't so big here, partly it's their fault. for taking us for granted
