What's up y'all? I'm new here and don't know anyone yet. But I want to be friends with everybody because I know we all have one thing in common here and that is - we all looove Westlife. Don't you all agree?
So, anyway, I just wanted to say that Westlife's concert was awesome. The lads are cuter than ever and more graceful this time - they danced!!! Well, except Mark.. he he. Sorry all you Mark fans but he was a little clumsy if I may say. But he managed to wow the crowd with his voice - he always does - really nice vocal chords there mark. Even Kian and Nicky surprised me when they had their solo lines. It's not always that they do that. For me, Nicky was a good dancer, I liked the way he moved compared to the other guys. Kian, was gorgeous, and yeah I agree, nice chest - that kind of chest you-can-put -your- head- on-and- everything- will- be-ok. he he. Shane also showed nice moves and among the 4 of them, he was the one who rendered a really sexy thrust when they sang "Dontcha".
I was a little heart broken because I am a Bryan fan. And I know that Bryan is no longer with Westlife. The whole time during the concert, at the back of my mind, I was thinking that maybe.. just maybe Bryan will come out and sing with the other guys. Kinda hoping that he is a "suprise guest". Hehe. But I guess, it was too much to ask for.
Although, I said that the concert was awesome, can I say that, the concert was not the same as before? For one thing, not all the seats were occupied. I remembered praying for more people to come when the clock struck 745pm last Sept 04. I was like, come on, you guys, keep coming... we can't disappoint Westlife. Oh well, the concert started anyway, even with some vacant seats. It's not just "some seats" you know - it was like blocks and blocks of bleachers and chairs even in the patron seats. My sister and I are seated in the lower box patron seats and during the concert I saw Mark and Nicky looking at our side and I know very well, that there were lots of vacant seats above us and I was like.. oh please don't let them see it.. and maybe Nicky saw it, because after he looked at that vacant spot there was something different in him. Like he lost some enthusiasm or whatever it was. I don't know but maybe I was just validating the situation too much. And remember, there was this song they sang, and I think it was originally a Justin Timberlake song and no one in the crowd seemed to know it. I'm not even familiar with that song either and then, Nicky, Kian and Shane kept pointing their microphones to the crowd - for the fans to sing with them, but it was not the reaction they expected. I don't know but I felt awful and embarassed for myself. I almost felt guilty because I can't believe that I am not familiar with that song. What song was it, anyway? Does anybody know? Did anyone notice this during the concert?
I really admired the Westlife guys when they switched to more familiar songs after the Justin Timberlake song. They really knew the crowd and their fans. And to my amazement, they sang. "What makes a man" which happens to be my all time favorite Westlife song. My sister wanted them to sing "Obvious" but they didn't anyway.
And remember when they all said goodnight the first time? I think everybody in the crowd knew that it's not really good night and that the guys are coming back to render more songs. It was sooo Westlife because it also happened in their first concert here in the Philippines at the same exact place, 5 years ago.
Finally, all I can say is, even with the little disasters that happened in the concert, Westlife made me happy and everyone else ( I think) especially if you are one of the die hard fans out there. Seeing them again, was a dream come true - seeing them dance this time is a totally different experience. I am so proud of them. They may not be the Backstreet Boys or NSync, but to me, they're number 1 and will forever be in my heart. Right after the concert, I asked my sister, " Do you think we can still watch Westlife's concert even when we're 40 years old?" Absolutely, no doubt about it.

hello there kurama... my name's rachelle i had the same feeling about the vacant seats there... i actually didnt notice how different it was compared with the past concerts (because i was soo engrossed watching them right in front of my face) but like what meficus said, i hope they'd still be back in spite of that. and oh, i hope they get back really soon! i'd die waiting for another 5 years or so but i'd definitely be there when they come... and somebody tell me how to get a pass backstage!

hello there kurama... i'm esmie... there's a lot of vacant seats on the upper box i think... but there are so many people on gen ad... maybe they just can't afford the prices of the tix... i think if the prices of the tix are cheaper the it would be sold out...
