It's A New Stage For Jake After Job Switch - 5 January 2007 Article shortened JOHN GIBSON IS there anybody in the music business Jake Duncan hasn't worked for as tour manager or accountant? A valid question because the list does seem endless. Let's start with the Bay City Rollers... And we can take it from there to George Michael, Oasis (Noel Gallagher knows what's going on, brother Liam's a handful), Deep Purple, Ozzy Osbourne, Barbara thingyson, Joe thingyer, Jethro Tull, Westlife, Stevie Winwood, Michael Flatley, Franz Ferdinand and Jimmy Nail (remember him?). Jake had two and half years taking care of business with Westlife. They played Edinburgh's Festival Theatre in November 2003 and returned to the Capital the following July at the Castle. "I'd seen Tom Jones and Elton perform on the Esplanade and I thought then that it would prove a marvellous gig for Westlife. They were to become the most successful boy band of all time. "You won't be surprised, I'd wanted to bring the band to Tynecastle, rather than the Esplanade. I'd have been chuffed to bits. Logistically, though, the Hearts stadium just wouldn't have worked. The boys used a massive amount of equipment and getting it all into the stadium, allied to huge manpower costs, ruled that out." Credit/Source: living.scotsman.com

the china concert only had the screens behind them (four or more, if i remember from the vid), although the stage wasn't as elaborate as the UK ones. The reason they can't bring their equipment here is it costs a lot to ship those from Europe to Asia, for only a show in every country.
